Refund & Cancellation Policy

Draft policy for a potential digital education membership. The exact price and billing terms must also be disclosed at checkout.

Effective date: October 11, 2026Business approval required before taking payment
Do not enable paid checkout until billing terms are finalized.

The website package does not contain a connected merchant gateway. Before collecting money, confirm these terms with the business owner and ensure they match the checkout page, receipts, merchant application, and processor requirements.

1. Subscription price and recurring charges

Before purchasing, a customer should be shown the exact amount due, billing interval, renewal price, date of the next charge (where applicable), included features, how to cancel, and the refund policy. A charge will be initiated only after affirmative authorization to the disclosed terms. No price or renewal frequency should be implied where it has not been shown clearly.

2. Cancellation

A customer may request cancellation at any time using the cancellation method made available in the membership account or by contacting us through the contact page. A cancellation stops future renewal charges after it is processed. Unless checkout states otherwise or applicable law requires a different result, access continues through the end of the already-paid billing period. We will provide confirmation of the cancellation request.

3. First-charge refund window

Proposed policy: customers may request a refund of their first membership charge within seven (7) calendar days of the initial successful payment. Refund requests should include the name and email used for purchase and a transaction reference, but should not include full card numbers or bank credentials. If approved, refunds will be returned to the original payment method; the time required for posting depends on the payment provider and financial institution.

4. Renewal charges and billing errors

After the initial seven-day window, membership renewal payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law, where we approve an exception, or where the charge resulted from a verified duplicate or billing error. This policy does not waive rights that cannot legally be waived. If a customer believes a charge is wrong, contact us promptly with the date, amount, and transaction reference.

5. Processing and access

Access to member-only digital materials may begin once payment is confirmed. Refund eligibility for a first charge should be governed by the final disclosed policy and should not depend on hidden conditions. The exact implementation must be consistent with the payment processor and applicable consumer laws.

6. How to request a refund or cancel

Use the contact form and select “Membership and educational resources.” Include the email associated with the purchase and a transaction reference if available. Do not send card data, bank credentials, or StudentAid.gov login information. We aim to acknowledge a request within a reasonable time and will communicate the decision and next steps.

7. Refunds are separate from government loan obligations

Refunding a website subscription does not affect a federal student loan, loan payment due date, repayment plan, credit reporting, or government benefit. Customers must contact their official loan servicer for those matters.

Confirm this policy before launch

Final business approval is required for the seven-day first-charge refund window, later renewal treatment, the cancellation channel, contact email, membership access terms, and jurisdiction-specific requirements. This page is a draft, not a legal opinion or merchant approval.
