Public terms and form checkboxes are only part of the review. Business identity, campaign use case, opt-in process, sample messages, privacy policy, web forms, messaging provider, and actual sending behavior must all match.
1. Program operator and purpose
Student Benefit Services may operate separate SMS categories: (a) service-related messages about a request, scheduling, customer support, or an account-update request; and (b) marketing messages about educational resources, membership, and related offers. The categories use separate, optional consent. The service may not be active until a messaging provider and campaign registration have been configured.
2. How to opt in
You may opt in by voluntarily selecting the applicable unchecked text-consent box on a Student Benefit Services form and providing a mobile number. Service-text consent is separate from marketing-text consent. Consent to marketing texts is not required to submit a request, use the public educational pages, or buy any product or service. We will maintain records of the opt-in wording, selection, timestamp, and relevant submission details.
3. Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies based on your requests, activity, and the category to which you consent. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to carrier and device availability.
4. Opt out — STOP
You can opt out of a messaging category at any time by replying STOP to a message from that program. Where multiple programs or phone numbers are used, follow the confirmation message and contact us if you want to confirm which category has been stopped. After an opt-out, we will send no further messages in that category except permitted confirmation or legally required messages.
5. Help — HELP
Reply HELP for basic program assistance. You may also use the website’s contact form. A working support contact and any required customer-care details should be added to all campaign submissions before launch.
6. Privacy and data sharing
Mobile information, SMS opt-in data, and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be processed by vendors who help deliver messages or administer customer support, subject to restrictions and as needed to provide that function. See the Privacy Policy for more details. Consent records are not shared with third parties for unrelated purposes.
7. Changes, availability, and eligibility
We may change, pause, or discontinue an SMS program. The program may not be available on all carriers or devices. Messages may fail, be delayed, or be blocked. Opting into SMS does not guarantee that every message will be delivered.
8. No condition of purchase
Opting into either service or marketing text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing a product or service. You may use the website and request service without selecting either SMS box.
9. Contact and related policy
Use the contact page for questions. For collection and use of personal information, read the Privacy Policy.
Replace any placeholder business identity/contact details, configure a real opt-out/HELP workflow, test consent capture, ensure no checkboxes are pre-selected, publish accessible Privacy and Terms pages, and confirm that every sample message and opt-in page accurately describes the actual use case. No approval is guaranteed.
